Choice C
I think this is a book mainly about class. African-Americans are the lowest a it did not matter if you were a rich African-American or a poor African-American you were still considered poor. The poor are next but in this book that is the Ewll family. After that is the young like Jem, Scout, and Dill. Next is the white people. Finally is the rich white people such as Aunt Alexandria who is a hypocrite.
Without class the climax of this book would be when Jem, Scout, and Dill were trying to sneak into the Radley house at the beginning of the book and them being pursued. Also the big debate of Tom Robbinson would not be obscure but very clear. But that would be the only climax nothing exciting would happen.
This book would not be inevitable to read. It would just be another book on a shelf that would be improbable it would be famous. It would probably not be even be able to sustain itself as a good book. So that is why I believe this book is mainly on class.

Post 4 To Kill A Mocking Bird
How would Jem and Scout's life would change if they had a mother?
I think it would have changed a lot. It would change the whole story. With their mother around she can keep an eye out for Jem and Scout and when she saw them doing something wrong she would stop them. For example if they tried to put the note in Boo Radley's house she would see that and stop them. She would also keep an eye on Dill and Scout's relationship.
It would also affect the charters personally. Jem and Scout would be closer to their mother than Atticus. Calpurnia would be treated more like a maid than a close family friend. Dill wouldn't be very close to Scout and Jem. She would stop Atticus from defending Tom Robbinson.
I think if Jem and Scout had a mother the story be very boring and not interesting. There would be no climax and no plot. The charters have no meaning. Finally the book itself would not have been a classic. So I think it be a very bad idea to put a mother into the story.

Post 3 for To Kill a Mocking Bird chapters 10-11
From the perspective of Heck Tate.
The dog house is getting more and more boring every day but today was a little more interesting. I was just walking around the cells talking to other sheriffs when the phone rang. It was Atticus Finch my contemporarie to my surprise. I thought to myself why Atticus Finch be calling around these parts. He talked very fast and I was not able to understand. I told him to settle down and repeat what he said. He took a deep breath and said their was a mad dog on the loose. I tried to contradict what he said but I have a job. I told him to calm down and I will be there in a minute.
As I hung up I called out to the other sheriffs and said I will be back in half an hour. I grabbed a rifle from the closet and keys on the counter. I got inside the automobile and took off to pick up Mr. Finch. When he picked me up he said step on it Heck. I did and we were their in less than ten minutes.
When we got there the dog was inconspicuousbut I found him and saw he was limping around all crazy. Mr. Finch was pushing his children inside for saftey as I pulled out the rifle. I looked at how far he was and realized I can't take a shot that far. I passed the rifle to Mr. Finch and told him to do it. He tried to cantankerous but I gave him thee rifle anyways. He had fear in his eyes. I saw him stumbling with his glasses for a while then thought of great peril and then a crack of the gun came. The dog dropped to the ground dead. The kids were astonished of their fathers shooting ability and didn't know what to say.
But even though the kids didn't know of one-shot Finch I knew he was back.

Journal Entry for To Kill A Mocking Bird chapters 4-9 post 2
From the perspective of Scout
Everyone is acting different now a days. Ever since I started school no one has been acting the same except for me. I thought I knew all of them very well but I guess I was wrong. Even Atticus is acting different and I reckon adults were suppose to stay the same forever.
Everyday Jem tells me I'm getting to girly. I sometimes wonder if he forgot I am a girl. I once saw him rolling in mud over the winter. I told him it was gross and he started nagging at me saying to go back to my old self. But maybe I am getting to girly. But he should still treat me the same if I am a girl or not.
Whenever someone talks to me they always call Atticus a ****** lover. Once my own cousin started calling him that. who ever calls him that is lucky because Atticus told me not to fight, it's for uncivilized people. But that is not all I recently just learned about how he was one-shot finch back in his day. I am still stunned from that. But I am puzzled why he didn't want us to know it.
Calpurnia has been the weirdest. She actually misses me whenever I go to school. Our usual fights happen no more. She will never get angry at me ether or she will actually believe me. I wonder if Atticus told her to stop arguing with me or she wants to be a big influence in my life. I also wonder how she actually feels about me.
This family is getting weirder by the day. What will happen when Jem and I grow up will things still change or go back to being the same? I guess I have to find out by waiting.

To Kill A Mocking Bird post 1
From the perspective of Atticus
September 1st
Summer is finally over. Jem and Scout start school tomorrow. everyday of the Summer they have been coming home with stories of what Dill and they did today. One day they told me that Jem was dared by Dill to touch Boo Radley's house and they saw the curtain move when he did. When I heard that I was scared like no man has been scared before. After that I had Calpurnia take a look at them every now and then.
September 2nd
When I came home and spent some time with Scout she told me how weird it felt when Calpurnia gave her a hug and said that she missed her when she was away at school. I never thought that Calpurnia would miss Scout I thought she would love it if Scout was gone. But it was a weird side of Calpurnia that I have never seen. Maybe there is more to Calpurnia then I thought.
September 3rd
Today when Scout came home she told me she saw the dirtiest boy ever. I told her that because of the economy was so bad that most people can't afford anything. Not even water. She felt bad and said she will raise enough money as possible to help them. I encouraged her and gave her a nickel to start. I immediately felt good about that and felt good for the rest of the day.

TITLE___Bud not Buddy______ TIME_3____HOURS
AUTHOR___Christopher Paul Curtis_________ PAGES _126_-___239

1. What does this book make you wonder about? Why?
It makes me wonder what happened to Bud at the end. Did he become a great saxophonist or did he just kept being treated like a janitor. What happened to Mr. Calloway did he just kept on crying did he punish Bud. Did Mr. Calloway actually treated him differently or just made things harder on him. I wonder these things because Bud not Buddy left me wanting more of the book.
2. What character do you like most in this book and/or what character do you like least? Why?
The character I liked most was Bud. But he is the main character of course I am going to like him. So my favorite non-main character is Mr. Jimmy. He is a nice dude. He always knows what to do and when to do them. He also acts like everyone is family. He takes time to know everyone and he is always in one mood, happy.
3. If you could change one thing in the book, what would it be? Why would you change it?
I would change the part where Bud and Bugs split up. I would have it where Bud makes it on the train and the train stops in a different place and everyone is caught but Bud.
