I think the athor theme is family is important. I think  this the theme because Meggie is trying to reunite to her parents and get out of the horrifing book. She ran away because she wanted to go into the book Inkheart.
Some other important charcters are Basta and Mortola because they are the bad guys in the story. They always try to kill Meggie, Dustfinger, and Resa. They will also kill anyone in their way.
A exciting event that happened was Slasher almost killed Dustfinger and Meggie. But Farid jumped on his back and threw in the fire.

What surprised me in this book was that Mo was still alive. He lived through a gunshot wound and  bleeding almost all his blood.
This book reminds me of the war going on in Iraq. Because in the book there is a war going on and the leaders are asking the citizens to fight this war. It also reminds me of gangs and milita because they are the ones fighting against their own country.
What I read today made me feel a little sad. It made me feel sad because a family is reunited and their not going to be together for a long time. It also made me feel a little intrested to find out what happens next.

If I could be any charcter in this book it would be DustFinger. DustFinger is the guy who cheats death multiple times and he can also control fire. The reason I would want to be DustFinger is because he is the masterious one. The one with all the tricks up his sleve. He is the one who makes everyone else look like the audiance waiting for him to pull something out.
The author crates suspense in this book by the close death encounters, the death expirences, and the fact it's in some crazy world made of ink and paper. A lot of the main charcters are close to death but at the last second they are saved. But sometimes their secrets are being kept and others dies because of that. Did I metion it's in a world made of paper and ink because some how the charcters just teleported in their. So that is why I think this book keeps me in suspense.
I think I would read another book by this author because she knows how to keep suspense. She writes her books in such detail that it feels like your there. She can also put a lot of "bumps in the road" So yeah that is why I think I would read another book  by her

Mice and Men post 5

I think rabbits simbolize Lennie being quiet most of the time. Because if George didn't say he won't tend the rabbits if he did any more bad than he would tell everyone about them and see how dumb he is. Crook he repersents the downer in the story because he tells them he has seen many try and fail. I was pretty shocked when Lennie killed her. I think he is going to go the hiding place where George told him to go in the beginning of the story. Curely's wife repersents the havoc in the story because when Curely looks for her he gets angry.

Journal entry Curely's perspective

Dear Diary,
I can barely write now because of that new big guy Lennie. He messed my hands up so bad. I deserved it because I was the one picking a fight. Man if my hands were not broken I would totally beat the **** out of everyone.
I also hate how they complain about everything. Like the food or the smells.  I probably didn't realize that to until I heard them. I also here how the boys keep talking about my wife. If they touch a hair on her I'll beat the **** out of everyone. I don't care if my hands are broken or not I will still beat them up.

Journal entry George's perspective

Dear Diary,
I don't like it here. Most of the fellows here are ok. But that Curly boy he keeps getting on my nerves he is imperious. When he was brusque at us I tried to mollified him.  Always trying to pick a fight, always getting into my business. The second I get is when he is as dead as a door knob. I just don't know what his problem is and his wife is just worse.
Always checking out other men, always trying to get someone else I mean what the !&$%. Lennie is still dumb as ever but know he wants em dogs of Slims. It smells like #$%^ and %&$* here but I guess I'm going to have to get used to it. The food here is ok but taste better than beans in a can. I always see Lennie with a puppy now but I always have to take them and give it back to the mother.
At night I will always here the scariest sounds. Like the floor creeks or the owls chirp. Then I recumbent on the bed I think I feel a grayback from the last guy who slept there. Man, this is going to make Lennie morose. He is so scared of everything. If he gets us kicked out again I'm going to beat him up

Sincercly,
    George

Of Mice and Men part 2

Question 1: How does George treat Lennie.
I think George treats Lennie like a six year old because he always tells him what to do. I think George feels that Lennie is holding him back from his dreams. I also think that George has a responsibility toward Lennie. Like he has to take care of him. That is what George thinks of Lennie.

Question 2: What is George and Lennie's dream?
I think George and Lennie's dream is to have their own farm. Where they can grow their own food. Lennie will have rabbits a bunch of them. He can pet them all the time. I think it could be realistic because they have each other and together they can do anything.

Question 3: Why does George say migrant farmers are the loneliest people in the world?
Because migrant farmers can't have familys. They can't leave their family to find work. They also can't have very many friends because they kept moving. But it's diffrent for Lennie and George. Because they are like family.

Of Mice and Men

Question 1: Why do we have friends?
I think we have friends because we don't want to feel lonely. I also think it's because it's just in the human nature to meet new people. Like if we see someone naturally we would want to go talk to him/her. Maybe your in a project and know only that person/people name(s). You would want to know more about them. So that is why I think we have friends.

Question 2: What makes a "good" friend?
I think what makes a good friend is someone you understand no matter what they do or say. What I mean by that is if they messing with you by like hurting you you know they're messing with you. Another way is that you hang out with them a lot. The last thing I think makes a good friend is one who understands you and hangs out with you. That is what I think makes a good friend.

Question 3: Describing my future
Well I don't think very much about the future usually I just enjoy the current day and let time shape my future. But now that I think about it I would like to pass collage get multiple degrees and be famous at anything. I would have a wife and children and a big house. I would also have a easy well paying job. But my biggest dream is to grow old and look back on all the times in my life

A book I read

A book I read was Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. This story is about adventure. The main characters are Meggie, Dustfinger, Farid, Mo, and Elinor. I think that this book was amazing one of the best books I ever read. This book also has many surprising things. Because once you think you know the charcters well enough they will throw something new at you. I suggest this book to everyone who loves adventure.
