1. What does this book make you wonder about? Why?
It makes me wonder what happened to Bud at the end. Did he become a great saxophonist or did he just kept being treated like a janitor. What happened to Mr. Calloway did he just kept on crying did he punish Bud. Did Mr. Calloway actually treated him differently or just made things harder on him. I wonder these things because Bud not Buddy left me wanting more of the book.
2. What character do you like most in this book and/or what character do you like least? Why?
The character I liked most was Bud. But he is the main character of course I am going to like him. So my favorite non-main character is Mr. Jimmy. He is a nice dude. He always knows what to do and when to do them. He also acts like everyone is family. He takes time to know everyone and he is always in one mood, happy.
3. If you could change one thing in the book, what would it be? Why would you change it?
I would change the part where Bud and Bugs split up. I would have it where Bud makes it on the train and the train stops in a different place and everyone is caught but Bud.

1. What advice would you give to a character.
I would give advice to Bud. I would tell him don't get your hopes up to high. Because you had the Amos family to live with. Your father could be dead and you wouldn't know. Then when you find out it's to late. The Amos family gave you a home, food, and water. But you didn't appreciate it because they yelled at you and treated you like trash. It's better than not finding your father and dyeing without a family.

2. Which character would you want to have as a friend.
I would want Bud as a friend because he has lessons that will actually help you to a better life as a kid. He would also keep me out of trouble by ways that should not be explained. He also would know the best things to do in our darkest hours. But there are somethings that will make him a bad friend. He would be a lot of trouble. Sometimes his ideas would fail horribly.

3. Explain how the author creates suspense in the book.
He creates suspense many ways like him missing the train, almost hijacking a car, and thinking of killing people. When he was at the Amos house he was so close to killing the Amos family that 1 more step could've started something. But I like his small way of revenge by making the son pee himself. I also thought he could've made it on the train he was so close just a little push can do it. But sadly he didn't make it. He was almost going to get away in the car but didn't know how to drive.

1. How does this book remind me of my life?
There are only a couple parts that remind me of my life. One was how Bud felt about the Amos family. He was almost tempted to kill them. That reminded me of how I was enraged sometimes. Another was how he rembered the rules. Sometimes I was about to do something but I thought about the rules and it stopped me.
2. What do you think about a particular character's actions? Was he/she right or wrong to do that?
When he grabed the shotgun in the middle of the night he was ready to kill the Amos family. But he thought to himself that it was wrong and hid the shotgun. I think what he did was right because what good did it make to take their lives.
3. Do you think you would read another book by this author? Why or why not?
I think I would read another one of his books. Because he made a book that can't be put down under action, comedy, romance, etc. He made it where it was all of the above.
