The Grapes of Wrath
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck is not a book but rather a poem. The beginning brings you in and makes you interested. The middle is pieced together perfectly. But the end left you thinking. But sadly this book is mostly boring.Yes, I know I made it sound like a perfect book then brought it all down but it is about a family from Oklahoma that travels to California. That it no action, romance, comedy, etc.
Yeah, I felt excited when I read the first few pages but after that it went downhill. But personally I liked how he brought you in it was different from all other stories. He made it in such detail that I actually thought I was there and he did it with a poem. He also brought in all characters in a way I have never seen. But that got old and was used to many times.
The middle is where it lost me. Everything was so interesting until I got there. Really it just talked about a family moving to California. But some parts have interesting turns. So really the middle is OK. But once they got to California it got me interested once again.
The end is where they got to California. They were so many twists and turns it would confuse me sometimes. But those twist and turns were not like any twist and turn. Like for example when a twist or turn happens in another book it usually someone gets shot. But these twists were things out of the ordinary.
Finally would I recommend this book or not. Yeah I would recommend this book. It’s not a high recommendation. Yeah there are some boring parts but the detail and poetics involved in this story makes up for it.
