1. What advice would you give to a character.
I would give advice to Bud. I would tell him don't get your hopes up to high. Because you had the Amos family to live with. Your father could be dead and you wouldn't know. Then when you find out it's to late. The Amos family gave you a home, food, and water. But you didn't appreciate it because they yelled at you and treated you like trash. It's better than not finding your father and dyeing without a family.

2. Which character would you want to have as a friend.
I would want Bud as a friend because he has lessons that will actually help you to a better life as a kid. He would also keep me out of trouble by ways that should not be explained. He also would know the best things to do in our darkest hours. But there are somethings that will make him a bad friend. He would be a lot of trouble. Sometimes his ideas would fail horribly.

3. Explain how the author creates suspense in the book.
He creates suspense many ways like him missing the train, almost hijacking a car, and thinking of killing people. When he was at the Amos house he was so close to killing the Amos family that 1 more step could've started something. But I like his small way of revenge by making the son pee himself. I also thought he could've made it on the train he was so close just a little push can do it. But sadly he didn't make it. He was almost going to get away in the car but didn't know how to drive.
